David Leuenberger received his M. Sc. Degree in Physics from the University of Bern in 2000 and got his PhD from Ecole Polytechnique Federal de Lausanne (EPFL) in the field of photonic crystals in 2004. In 2013 he obtained his MBA degree from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Business School (EBS).

He currently works as Senior Business Development Manager for medical applications and beam-steering technologies at Optotune. His focus is to make Optotune's products the solution of choice for optical systems that need dynamic light control.
